Vanni Calanca was born at Mirandola (Modena) on 19 June 1945. In 1966 he began taking photographs as a self-taught photographer. His work has received various kinds of recognition in Italy and abroad. He is a prominent advocate of Leica Camera AG of Solms which uses his photographs in P.R. activities for technical/commercial publications. He works with major Italian and foreign publishing houses.
